just messing around with light.....

so i was trying to shoot an assignment tonight and was messing around with exposures and trying to get my lighting right. i got a photo that i liked the look of but the exposure and color was off so i opened it in lightroom and did quite a bit of editing to it.... the thing that i like most about it is how the wooden palates look like they are almost the source of light because they are glowing so much. (this was done using my brothers spotlight) and then i used a on the camera flash pointed up to get the light on the subject (my friend jessi many thanks) and this is what i came up with, again not something i would turn in for a grade but i really like the way that it looks. let me know what you think.
